Pita Pizza

Individual pizzas made on pita bread — crispy on the outside, chewy in the middle, topped however you like, ready in 12 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 pita breads
  • 4 tablespoons tomato passata or pizza sauce
  • 80g mozzarella, sliced or shredded
  • Toppings of your choice: olives, peppers, mushrooms, salami
  • Dried oregano, olive oil, and chili flakes

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F) or turn on the broiler/grill.
  2. 2. Place pita breads on a baking sheet.
  3. 3. Spread tomato sauce over each pita, leaving a small border.
  4. 4. Top with mozzarella and your chosen toppings.
  5. 5. Bake for 8–10 minutes (or broil for 5–6 minutes) until cheese is bubbling and edges are golden.
  6. 6. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with oregano, and eat immediately.
