5-Minute Tuna and Avocado Toast

Creamy smashed avocado and seasoned tuna on toasted bread — a protein-packed, quick dinner that requires zero cooking.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices thick bread, toasted
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 can (140g) tuna in water, drained
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Salt, black pepper, and chili flakes, to taste
  • Optional: cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, or a drizzle of olive oil

Instructions

  1. 1. Halve and pit the avocado. Scoop the flesh into a bowl and mash with a fork. Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  2. 2. Drain the tuna and season with a little salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
  3. 3. Spread the smashed avocado generously over the toasted bread. Top with seasoned tuna.
  4. 4. Add any optional toppings — sliced cherry tomatoes, cucumber, or a drizzle of olive oil. Serve immediately.
