Garlic Butter Chicken Thighs

Juicy, golden-brown chicken thighs seared in a rich garlic butter sauce. Simple comfort food ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs (bone-in or boneless, skin-on preferred)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme or Italian herbs
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Pat chicken thighs dry and season generously with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  2. 2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken, skin side down, and sear for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 75°C / 165°F).
  3. 3. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic to the pan, swirling to coat the chicken in the melted butter as it foams.
  4. 4. Cook for 1–2 minutes, spooning the garlic butter over the chicken to baste and infuse flavor.
  5. 5. Remove from heat and rest for a few minutes before serving. Spoon remaining pan sauce over the chicken for extra flavor.
