Air Fryer Crispy Chicken Thighs

Juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside — these air fryer chicken thighs are seasoned with a simple spice rub and ready in 25 minutes. No breading needed.

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. 1. Pat chicken thighs completely dry with paper towels — this is key for crispy skin.
  2. 2. In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Rub the olive oil over the chicken, then coat all sides with the spice mixture.
  3. 3. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 3 minutes. Place chicken thighs skin-side down in the basket, leaving space between each piece.
  4. 4. Cook for 13 minutes, then flip skin-side up and cook for another 10–12 minutes until the skin is deep golden and the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
  5. 5. Rest for 5 minutes before serving with your choice of sides.
